Insanity Fit Test Results

So I've decided to follow the insanity workout system for a bit. This adds on to the fact that I run and hopefully with this real push will get myself into a better running plan.

I had a bit of trouble with this fit test. I initially thought I'd take it to the common to do outside but the weather wasn't my friend and I ended up doing it in my living room. Normally I'd say this was the best place; big screen, safe, dry, but unfortunately jumping  up and down made me VERY concious of the neighbours downstairs and I don't think I pushed as hard as I could have.

Here's how my giggly body did with the fit test.

Switch Kicks ~ 67k
Power Jacks ~ 42
Power Knees ~ 65
Power Jump ~ 18
Globe Jumps ~ 6
Burpees ~ 12
Push Up Jacks ~ 12
Low Plank Obliques ~ 35

(The workout seems to love the word "Power")

It starts...

So I've taken the plunge and taken photos of myself as my "before" images. Every inch of me wanted to suck in, flex or hide what I was seeing but as you can see I didn't.

I have no idea what my starting weight is, but seeing as I don't really care what weight I end up as long as I lose fat then I'm not really bothered.

For those of you paying attention... Yes I took the pictures standing in the tub. Only place I could get a semi-full length shot of me.

The beginning...

Not sure how to start this (if I'm being honest) but I suppose being honest is the best way to start.

Honestly, I'm in good health, good spirits, decent shape and have an excellent life. I'm able to stay relatively fit without having to watch what I eat.

Honestly, I see all these blogs and Pinterest "inspirational" photos where a bigger girl magically turns into an ultra-ripped model and think... How did she really get there?

Honestly, I'm ready to not just be in decent shape... I'm ready to lose the last ten pounds

And I'm ready to share the ups and downs; good days and (what will probably be many) cheat days; losses and gains and hopefully...eventually... the satisfaction of reaching my goal.

Perhaps you couldn't care less about and will skip on and never think of it again; but for those of you who want to follow a real person, with a job and a life try to get in shape then please feel free.

I'll include everything I can think of... stories, videos, updates, pictures of delicious foods I cheat with. Please feel free to comment, provide anecdotes or anything else you feel inclined to. Tangents welcome.

Lastly, I'd like to note that while I say my goal is 10 pounds I will never aspire to simply be "thin". I'd like to be strong and lean; should this mean I put on muscle mass then all the better for it.

Right, enough procrastination... Lets get on with it.
